   After graduating from Auburn University in 1978, Gary worked for The Ritchie Organization for 7 years and Evan Terry Associates Architects for approximately 7 years. During this time he designed numerous medical, institutional, religious and commercial projects. In 1992, Gary opened his own one-man firm to pursue a private practice specializing primarily in beach homes on the Gulf coast and almost exclusively within new urbanist communities. He also served as Town Architect at Blount Springs, a DPZ new town, and has provided design review services for several more communities. Gary has participated as a sub-consultant in several DPZ charrettes. His work includes homes in Seaside, Rosemary Beach, Alys Beach, Hampstead, WaterColor, Tanin, Mt Laurel, Blount Springs and Carillon Beach Commercial projects include a chapel and post office for Blount Springs and a pair of large mixed use buildings in the town center at Hampstead in Montgomery, Alabama.
   Gary is a member of the Institute for Classical Architecture, the New Urban Guild, the Congress for the New Urbanism, the Hampstead Institute and the Seaside Institute. He is registered in Alabama, Florida, Tennessee and Mississippi.
