   Marina Khoury is a licensed Architect and Senior Project Manager at the firm of Duany Plater-Zyberk and Company (DPZ), Architects and Town Planners. She joined DPZ as a Project Manager in 1997. Prior to that, she worked as an architectural designer for the firm of Portuondo Perotti Architects in Coral Gables, Florida.

   DPZ are leaders in a national movement called New Urbanism, which advocates urbanism that is economically sustainable, socially responsible, and environmentally sensitive. Ongoing projects that she is currently managing at DPZ include new neighborhoods and towns in Alabama, Tennessee, St. Louis, Mississippi, Georgia, Colorado, Canada, and Belgium; a regional plan in Florida; and several infill redevelopment and community revitalization projects in Florida. She is currently working on the adoption of a form-based code for the City of Miami-Miami21.

   Marina Khoury received two Masters Degrees, in Architecture and Urban Planning, in 1992 from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Prior to her graduate studies in the United States, Ms. Khoury attended the "Ecole Speciale D'Architecture" in Paris, France.

   Ms. Khoury is involved in a number of volunteer activities in Miami. She was became the first female architect appointed to the City of Miami's Urban Development Review Board in 2001. She taught as an Adjunct Professor at the Design and Architecture High School (DASH) for six years and has been a member of their Advisory Board for the past six. She is also an active member of the Buena Vista East Historic Neighborhood Association.

   Her professional affiliations include the Congress for New Urbanism and American Institute of Architects. Ms. Khoury is also a LEED Accredited professional.
